It’s finally time for public betas again!

This time around, I’m adding to the mansion and pale garden with new content and general improvements.

This post intentionally is lacking images so you experience these structures for the first time in-game, rather than being swayed by a few screenshots.

Have fun, and as always, make sure to test and report bugs on our discord!

Additions

  • Creaking Crypt
    • A new archaeology structure found in pale gardens
    • It is not complete, there will be an additional basement section added later
    • Includes a new armor trim, new banner pattern, and new resin pottery
  • Resin Pottery
    • There are 8 new resin pottery sherds:
      • Awaken (Open eyeblossom)
      • Blight (Pale oak tree)
      • Link (Saplink)
      • Moon (Crescent moon)
      • Shade (Dark oak tree)
      • Slumber (Closed eyeblossom)
      • Stare (Eye)
      • Watcher (Creaking eyes)
    • Awaken, Blight, Link, Stare, and Watcher can be found in creaking crypts.
    • Moon, Shade, and Slumber can be found in woodland mansion basements
    • There’s also a resin brick flower pot to go with this
  • Dusk Armor Trim
    • A new armor trim found in creaking crypts
    • Requires armor trim addon enabled to use
  • Crescent Banner Pattern
    • A new banner pattern found in creaking crypts
    • Puts a moon pattern on your banner when used
  • Resin Candy
    • A new food item crafted with resin clumps and sugar
    • Gives more saturation when eaten at night
  • Learning Enchantment
    • This enchantment is mutually exclusive with looting
    • It increases XP drops from mobs
  • Ancient City Loot Rework
    • Ancient city loot has been reworked to include less clutter
    • There are now only 2 discs: “5” and “ward”, rather than 4 discs
    • Learning books, mending books, enchanted golden carrots, and soul lanterns have been added to the loot pool
    • Saddles, soul torches, regeneration potions, and leads have been removed from the loot pool
    • The “Explorer” and “Blade” sherds have been moved from mansions to the ancient city, resulting in a few new archaeology templates
  • Miscellaneous Additions
    • Cyan dye can now be made by smelting down nether sprouts
    • New recipes for mushroom blocks
    • Increased yield tnt recipe
    • Compasses can now be cloned by placing two compasses in the crafting grid

Changes

  • Mansion Rework V2
    • The mansion has been completely reworked once again
    • The gameplay is mostly the same, but much of the build has been updated
    • This includes:
      • Consistent bookshelf, chandelier, shelf, and table style
      • More room variations & removal of boring rooms
      • Bringing back better versions of missing vanilla rooms
      • An overhaul of the exterior to be more in line with vanilla
    • There are also 3 new hidden rooms accessible via chiseled bookshelf
    • Archaeology is now guaranteed in the basement section, and it includes a map to the creaking crypt
  • Paintbrush Rework
    • Rather than being a separate item, paintbrush behavior can now be activated via a brush and dye in opposite hands
    • This does not consume any dye, but instead consumes paintbrush durability
      • I’m still debating whether this should bypass unbreaking or not. Let me know. It currently obeys unbreaking.
    • The ability to cycle paintings and dye shulkers has unfortunately been removed due to this change and technical limitations
      • This is a big loss, but I think the usability of the feature is worth it
      • I’m currently looking into alternatives for painting cycling, but shulker colors are a gimmick I don’t think is necessary
  • Miscellaneous Changes
    • Touched up some TCC armor trim textures
    • Made the archaeology section in badlands temples slightly easier to find
