The soul seer is an advanced redstone component used to detect and highlight mobs.
When a block is placed beneath the soul seer, the mobs that correspond to that block type are given the glowing effect when it is right-clicked or powered.
When it makes mobs glow, it gives off a comparator signal based on how many mobs it made glow. If tinted glass is placed above, it doesn’t glow, but still gives this comparator output.
The behavior of this block is rather simple, but allows for several interesting applications, such as detecting invading players, checking if there’s creepers nearby, and much more.
To take advantage of these capabilities, you’ll need to know which blocks beneath the soul seer correspond to which mobs, which is why I made this handy table!
